Yalow Honors Scholar (Cohort 2022)

I am a Yalow Honors Scholar at Hunter College on the pre-med track aspiring to become a physician. I have been a member of the Cao Lab at Weil Cornell Medicine’s Belfer Research Building since October 2023 where I have been doing research on heart regeneration in zebrafish. I have specifically been doing genotyping and looking into the expression patterns and roles of guanine deaminase (gda) and fstl1b in heart regeneration. I also have experience working as a dental assistant and shadowing an internist. I also have lots of experience teaching chemistry at the chemistry department as a peer TA for general chemistry and organic chemistry since fall 2023.
